This week I'm asking for your help. Podcast analytics are terrible, and I want to know more about YOU. Please take our Creative Elements Listener Survey for a chance to win one of two $200 Amazon Gift Cards!

The survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete, and the winners will be chosen at random on November 1.

And when you finish the survey, leave me a voicemail! I'm putting together an episode of listener questions, so feel free to leave a question about creativity, business, past episodes of the show, or anything else on your mind.

Your help on this goes a LONG way, and I appreciate you taking the time!

Hey, I have a short episode for you today. And I'm really hoping that you'll listen all the way through and take part in what I'm going to be talking about. Before I was a podcaster, I identified more as being a writer. And the great thing about writing online and especially through email, is that it's really easy to turn a one way conversation into a two way conversation with your readers. People reply directly to an email that I sent and their response hit my inbox. I can actually learn a little bit about that person from their email address, and the website associated with it. I even have a pretty good sense of who is opening my emails and how consistently because ConvertKit tells me that. Podcasting is not like that, not even a little bit. I am really, really in the dark in terms of who listens to this show. I do see posts on Twitter and Instagram so thank you for those of you who post about the show and share it, it means so much it helps the show so much and I absolutely love reading your reviews on Apple podcasts. I see literally every review that happens and every post, I wake up in the morning, and I check for new reviews on Apple podcast. I am completely serious, I am not kidding, they completely make my day. And when I see a new one in the morning, it's just the best way to wake up. So seriously, anytime you're enjoying the show, please consider sharing it and tagging me, I'll probably reshare it and it truly means a lot. I see every little bit of feedback that goes out into the world about the show. But I know that a lot of people just enjoy listening along and that is okay, too. So to help me go beyond the pretty limited analytics that I get from my podcasting software, I created a listener survey to learn more about who actually listens to the show, because that's another thing. I see download numbers but that doesn't necessarily mean listeners. The best way to get feedback from people listening to the show is asking for feedback in the show like I am right now, because if you are listening to this, I am looking to hear from you. So please, please, please go to the show notes and take the listener survey. Your time is valuable so to make this worth your while, I am giving away two amazon gift cards each $200. And on November 1st, I will select two people at random who respond to the survey and send them that $200 amazon gift card. The survey is pretty comprehensive, but it's almost all multiple choice. None of the open response fields are required though they are very much appreciated and helped me just as much if not more than the multiple choice stuff. This survey will help me better understand you, why you listen, what you like, what you don't like, it will help me pick new guests. It'll help me select good partners too. I know this could easily go in one ear and out the other so please hear my voice. I'm talking to you right now. I would love if you open your listening app, go to the show notes and click the link to take the survey. You, yes you listening to this can make a huge difference I want to hear from you. This should only take you about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. And you may get paid pretty handsomely for that 5 to 10 minutes. If you win a $200 gift card that's like an hourly rate of $1200 to $2400. Okay, so that's the listener survey. Second fun thing I'd love for you to help with. Once you complete that listener survey, you'll also see on that page, a little blue button that says send me a voicemail. I'm putting together a solo episode of listener questions that I can respond to and I want to hear from you, I want to hear your questions. You can literally record straight from your phone or your computer, a voice message that all include in the show and respond to. It's easy, it's seamless, and it would be really fun to hear from you and bring your voice onto the show. So to recap, step one, go to your listening app, go to the show notes, click the link to take the listener survey. If you don't see it, just visit creativeelements.fm it will only take you 5 to 10 minutes, and you may win a $200 gift card. Second while you're there, leave me a voicemail. I'd love to include your question about creativity, business, or past episodes into an upcoming episode of this show. Thank you, thank you, thank you for listening to the short episode. Thank you, thank you, thank you for listening to the show at all. Your feedback means so much to me. The responses that I've seen so far make me so happy. Please join the party with your listener survey. On Thursday, I'll share a past episode that I've been thinking about a lot lately and I'll be back next Tuesday with a new episode, actually a string of a few episodes of the coming weeks that I am so excited about. I've been looking forward to them for a long, long time. So thank you for listening, please take the survey and I'll talk to you next week.
